We invite you to take part in a webinar on the OECD Guidance Document on Good In Vitro Method Practices and on culturing of cells in a xeno-free medium for which the recipe has been published and is freely available for use.
The webinar will take place on 22 May, 12.00–13.00 CEST.
We are pleased to welcome two Swedish researchers who will share insights from their work with cell cultures and quality assurance:
Kristina Fant, toxicology consultant and member of the Swedish National Committee, previously worked with validation studies at the Swedish EU-NETVAL laboratory RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and was one of the authors of the first version of the OECD Guidance Document on Good In Vitro Method Practices (GIVIMP).
Stina Oredsson, Professor Emerita at Lund University, has developed the Oredsson Universal Replacement (OUR) xeno-free cell culture medium and published the recipe and protocol openly.
After the presentations, there will be time for questions from the audience.

Global 3Rs Awards
AAALAC International and the IQ Consortium invite researchers to apply for the Global 3Rs Awards, which recognise innovative contributions advancing the 3Rs.
Applications are based on a nominated research paper that has been published in a peer‑reviewed journal within the past three years.
The European Partnership for Alternative Approaches to Animal Testing (EPAA) invites researchers to apply for its 3Rs Science Prize, awarded every two years. The prize recognises a scientist working on alternative methods for regulatory testing purposes who has made an outstanding contribution to the 3Rs.
The Swedish 3Rs Center is the executive body of the National Committee
